Wheelchair-Bound Man Killed in Hit and Run

On February 7, 2022, at approximately 6:30 am, an unidentified wheelchair-bound man was crossing FM 1960 in north Harris County, Texas when a vehicle hit him at a high rate of speed. The impact flung the man across the street, where he was then hit by two more vehicles. None of the drivers of the three vehicles involved in the Incident appear to have stopped to render aid to the unidentified victim, who was pronounced dead at the scene.

The front bumper of one of the vehicles involved came off during the Incident. The owner of the vehicle was identified, but she denies that she was driving her vehicle during the Incident. She is currently being held for questioning by the Harris County Sherriff’s Office. The other drivers who fled the scene have not been identified yet.
