Ben Agosto III

Senior Associate

Ben Agosto III is a trial lawyer at Abraham, Watkins, Nichols, Agosto, Aziz & Stogner and one of the most decorated young plaintiffs’ attorneys in Houston. A born and raised Houstonian, Ben came to the law through competition—as a champion policy debater at Klein High School, he developed the analytical discipline, command of evidence, and persuasive instincts that have defined his approach to advocacy ever since. For Ben, the courtroom is not a departure from the debate stage. It is its natural destination.

Ben carried those skills to the University of South Florida, where he earned a B.S. in Finance, and then to South Texas College of Law Houston, where he distinguished himself as a national champion moot court advocate, a Langdell Scholar who tutored his classmates in legal analysis and writing, and a contributing member of the South Texas Law Review. He graduated in 2017. Following law school, Ben was selected to clerk for the Honorable Larry Weiman of the 80th District Court in Harris County—a court that at the time ranked among the top three busiest trial courts in Texas—where he earned a front-row education in what separates winning advocates from everyone else.

After his clerkship, Ben joined The Buzbee Law Firm as an associate, where he handled hundreds of cases over three years, building deep experience in catastrophic personal injury litigation and achieving seven and eight-figure results across railroad accidents, commercial vehicle collisions, refinery explosions, maritime injuries, and workplace catastrophes.

In 2021, Ben joined Abraham Watkins—the longest-standing personal injury firm in Texas. In 2025, he was promoted to Senior Associate, where he continues to represent seriously injured individuals and families against corporate defendants of all sizes and reach. His current practice spans commercial vehicle and trucking accidents, industrial and refinery disasters, railroad injury litigation, maritime and offshore claims, toxic exposure, premises liability, products liability, bad faith insurance disputes, medical malpractice, and wrongful death. Ben has been selected as a Texas Rising Star by Super Lawyers in four consecutive years (2023–2026) —an honor limited to the top 2.5% of attorneys in the state—and identified by Best Lawyers: Ones to Watch® in America in three consecutive years in three separate practice areas: Personal Injury Litigation – Plaintiffs, Product Liability Litigation – Plaintiffs, and Medical Malpractice Law – Plaintiffs (2024–2026). He has also been recognized as a Top Latino Lawyer by Latino Leaders Magazine for three consecutive years (2022–2024). He is a member of the Houston Bar Association, the Houston Trial Lawyers Association, the Texas Trial Lawyers Association, and the Houston Young Lawyers Association.
