To unlock the pressure cooker and remove the lid, the pressure must first be released. Ms. Wallace has alleged that the safety features marketed by NuWave included prevention of the pressure cooker from not only building pressure if the lid was not closed properly, but also prevention of the lid from being removed until all the pressure was released. As a result of NuWave’s misrepresentation, Ms. Wallace has alleged her pressure cooker exploded and caused her injury.
