In late 2022, ZLINE gas ranges were recalled across the U.S. after over 40 reports of carbon monoxide emission, including some reports of consumers seeking medical attention due to carbon monoxide inhalation, which can lead to serious injury or even death. According to the United States Consumer Product Safety Commission, consumers should immediately stop using the oven compartment of the recalled ranges (described below) until the oven compartment is replaced or repaired.

The recall involved the oven compartment of ZLINE gas ranges, with model numbers RG30, RGS-30, RGB-30, RG36, RGS-36, and RGB-36. According to the United States Consumer Product Safety Commission, only ZLINE gas ranges with these model numbers were included in the recall.

Specifically, the recalled ranges were being sold in two sizes: 30 inches and 36 inches, with the ZLINE logo printed on the bottom of the door; the model number is printed on a label on the back of the range; and being sold in colors including black matte, blue gloss, blue matte, DuraSnow, red gloss, red matte, and white matte and multiple finishes including stainless steel, black stainless steel, and DuraSnow, a cloudy steel finish. For ranges purchased after 2020, the model number is also printed on a label underneath the right side of the range top, visible when the oven door is open.

The recalled ranges were sold by major retailers, including Best Buy, Lowe’s, The Home Depot, The Range Hood Store stores nationwide and online at bestbuy.com, build.com, www.costco.com, homedepot.com, therangehoodstore.com, overstock.com, and wayfair.com. The gas ranges were sold from February 2019 through December 2022 for between $2,300 and $5,000.
