On September 15, 2022, over 200 hundred young attorneys in the Houston area attended the Houston Young Lawyer Association (HYLA) Annual Membership Party at Saint Arnold’s Brewery. Abraham Watkins was proud to serve as the event sponsor for this year’s Annual Membership Party. Those in attendance enjoyed an opportunity to network and unwind with their peers after a long day at the office.
The Houston Young Lawyers Association is a bar association comprised of Houston’s young attorneys. Membership in the association consists of Houston lawyers aged 36 and under, Houston lawyers with 5 years of practice experience or less, as well as law students. HYLA’S mission is to help members learn, lead, network, and serve.
Each year, HYLA offers a diverse lineup of social networking events, CLEs, and leadership and volunteer opportunities. HYLA was founded in 1937 as the Houston Junior Bar Association and has a rich tradition of community involvement and leadership in the Houston legal community.
Abraham Watkins Associate Chris Mahfouz serves as a member of the HYLA Board of Directors and as a co-chair who assisted in planning the event.
