Female Jogger Sustained Fatal Injuries After Being Struck by a Boat Trailer in Pearland

On Sunday, October 2, around 7:00 a.m., a woman was jogging near the intersection of Southern Trails Drive and Broadway Street in Pearland, Texas when she was fatally struck by a boat trailer. The boat trailer was being towed by a Ford F-150.

The jogger was running on the sidewalk of Southern Trails Drive when she reached the intersection of Southern Trails Drive and Broadway Street. As the truck and trailer passed through the intersection, the jogger ran into the roadway behind the truck and was hit by the boat trailer.

After the boat trailer struck the jogger, the driver of the truck stopped his vehicle to help her. The jogger was taken by Life Flight to Memorial Hermann Hospital in the Texas Medical Center with life threating injuries. After being transported to the hospital, she died from her injuries.

The Pearland Police Department conducted a reconstruction of the accident. Although witnesses state that the driver of the truck and boat trailer had a green light as he crossed the intersection and the jogger was wearing headphones, an investigation into the incident is still underway.
