BUS CRASH KILLS 9 YEAR OLD

A Disney bus struck and killed a 9-year-old St. Petersburg boy this afternoon while he was riding a bicycle with a friend at the Fort Wilderness campground at Walt Disney World.

The boy’s friend, an 11-year-old girl, was not injured. Troopers said they were interviewing her this afternoon, though she was said to be extremely distraught.

Preliminary reports show that the kids were not accompanied by an adult.

28 passengers were inside the Disney bus at the time of the accident and none of the passengers was injured.

The law firm of Abraham, Watkins, Nichols, Agosto, Aziz & Stogner has significant experience handling major bus accident litigation:

Mo Aziz was on the steering committee for the Hurricane Rita Evacuation Bus Fire litigation. That lawsuit arose from 23 fatalities during the evacuation of a nursing home. These cases were settled to a successful conclusion.

Benny Agosto, Jr. and Mo Aziz are on the steering committee for the January 2, 2008 bus rollover near Victoria, Texas. These cases were also settled to a successful conclusion.

Nick C. Nichols handled a head on collision: a Greyhound Bus and an 18 wheeler in East Texas.
