The United States Consumer Product Safety Commission recently posted a recall of children’s robes due to burn hazards. The recall involved robes sold exclusively at www.amazon.com from January 2022 through June 2022 for between $14 and $17. Thankfully, no incidents nor injuries have been reported regarding these robes.

The recalled robes involve 100% polyester robes. They have a sewn-in side seam belt, a hood, and two functional front pockets. The sizes range from 2T through 10 years. These robes were sold in blue, plaid, red rose, blue shark, green dinosaur, and white dinosaur colors.

These robes were imported by SGMWVB of China. Consumers were advised to immediately take the recalled robes away from children, stop using them, and contact the importer for a full refund. Consumers who purchased the robes are being asked to destroy the garments by cutting them in half and send SGMWVB a photo of the destroyed robe by email. Both SGMWVB and Amazon are contacting all known purchasers directly.
