The U.S. Food and Drug Administration is warning those who purchased the Mighty Bliss electric heating pads that they are at risk of sustaining serious injury if they continue using these heating pads. Specifically, the FDA is warning that the heating pads can cause serious burns and electric shocks.

More than 286 complaints have been filed regarding the heating pads. This prompted the company that owns Mighty Bliss electric heating pads, Whele LLC, to announce the recall of over half a million of these heating pads that were sold between July 2021 and July 2022. The recall was announced on October 24, 2022. These heating pads were sold online through Amazon and Walmart. The two companies have removed the heating pads from its website.
