Two Harris County Woman File Lawsuit After Golf Cart Malfunction Causes Severe Injuries

On October 13, 2020, two Harris County residents, on behalf of themselves and several minor children, (“Plaintiffs”) filed a complaint in the Galveston County District Court against Galveston Golf Carts, LLC and John Frank Hall, Jr. (hereinafter “Defendants”).

The women assert allegations for negligence against Defendants as a result of collision that caused the Plaintiffs to suffer personal injuries and damages.

According to the lawsuit, on August 17, 2020, the Plaintiffs were injured when, while riding in the Defendants’ golf cart, the golf cart malfunctioned such that the brakes did not properly work. The Plaintiffs assert a collision occurred as a result of the brake malfunction and failure. The Plaintiffs claim the incident was the result of the Defendants’ negligence and failure to exercise ordinary care in the maintenance, operation, and care of Defendants’ golf carts.

The Plaintiffs seek monetary relief for damages resulting from, among others, past and future medical bills and expenses, physical pain and suffering, mental anguish, loss of enjoyment of life, and pre-judgment and post-judgment interest, among others.
