Suit Filed Against Port of Houston Authority after Worker Killed

Houston attorneys Mo Aziz and Karl Long of Abraham, Watkins, Nichols, Agosto, Aziz & Stogner have filed suit on behalf of a worker who was killed at the Bayport Terminal Yard in Pasadena, Texas.

On Friday, February 21, 2020, the worker was operating a truck that offloads containers from ships. Immediately preceding the accident, the worker was transporting a cargo container so it could be loaded onto a ship. A crane lifted the cargo container, which was expected to detach from the truck the worker was driving. However, the cargo container did not fully detach from the crane that was transporting it, and the truck lifted into the air. Ultimately, the worker was killed during this incident after the truck he was operating crashed into the ground.

Houston Terminal, LLC, and Direct ChassisLink, Inc d/b/a DCLI/LJ Chassis Holdings, Inc. have also been named as defendants in this suit.
