(Houston, TX) Attorney Benny Agosto, Jr., a partner at Abraham, Watkins, Nichols, Agosto, Aziz & Stogner, has been named to the Top 100: 2017 Houston Super Lawyers list and the Texas Super Lawyers list for 2017. This year marks Mr. Agosto’s first year of inclusion on the Top 100: Houston Super Lawyers list and his 13 th year of inclusion on the Texas Super Lawyers list.
The selection process for the Texas Super Lawyers list is rigorous and ensures that only the highest-achieving attorneys in every state and practice area are selected. Attorneys are chosen based on peer nominations and evaluations. Attorneys’ professional accomplishments are considered, and Super Lawyers staff review all nominees. Those named to the list are among the top five percent of attorneys in Texas.
In addition to appearing on the Super Lawyers list for a number for years, Mr. Agosto has been recognized by a long list of professional organizations and publications. He has been named to the best lawyers in America list, the Top Lawyers list by Houstonia Magazine, and the Top Latino Lawyers and the 25 Most Influential Hispanic Lawyers lists by Latino Leaders Magazine. He has also been honored by the State Bar of Texas, the Houston Bar Association, the National Association of Distinguished Counsel, the Houston Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, and South Texas College of Law Houston. Most recently, Mr. Agosto was recognized by the Latino Learning Center and was the recipient of the Humanitarian Award in the Male Philanthropist Category for 2017.
When Mr. Agosto is not representing clients injured as a result of negligence, he is serving the community through positions held in professional organizations. He is the Founder and President of the Mexican-American Bar Association of Texas Foundation (MABATx Foundation), which has raised more than $275,000 in scholarship money for Hispanic law students. He is also a former President of the Hispanic National Bar Association (HNBA).
