(Houston, TX) The Houston law firm of Abraham, Watkins, Nichols, Agosto, Aziz & Stogner is proud to announce that Karl Long has joined the firm as an Associate. Mr. Long’s current practice focuses on a wide range of personal injury matters, including product liability, passenger bus accidents, premises liability, construction accidents, and workplace injuries. Many of his cases involve catastrophic injuries and wrongful death resulting from automobile accidents and tire defects, which is a skillset he honed while representing tire manufacturers and retailers at a defense litigation firm prior to joining Abraham Watkins.
Mr. Long is a graduate of the University of the South in Sewanee, Tennessee, where he received his Bachelor of Arts in History and was admitted to the Order of the Gown, an academic honor society. Following college and before attending law school, he joined the Peace Corps and served in Guatemala. During law school at South Texas College of Law Houston, he clerked for a respected defense firm and was admitted to the Order of Lytae, an honorary fraternity at South Texas that recognizes outstanding academic achievement. He was also named to the Dean’s List multiple times and received five CALI Awards for earning the highest grade in five of his classes. Mr. Long graduated cum laude and in the top 10 percent of his law school class at South Texas College of Law Houston.
Mr. Long joined Abraham Watkins in 2009 as a newly-licensed Contract Attorney, and now returns as an Associate with the valuable experience and perspective gained from seven years of practice at a defense litigation firm. He is admitted to practice in all federal district courts in Texas and is a member of the Texas Trial Lawyers Association, Houston Bar Association, and Houston Trial Lawyers Association.
