Attorney(Houston, TX) Imrana Manzanares, the Nurse Attorney of Abraham, Watkins, Nichols, Agosto, Aziz & Stogner, has been elected to membership in the Fellows of the Texas Bar Foundation. This is an honor reserved for the top one-third of one percent of attorneys in Texas. Mrs. Manzanares began her career as a nurse in the Texas Medical Center and earned her Bachelors of Nursing from the University of Texas Medical Branch in 2002. Following nursing school, she worked in the intensive care units of Houston Methodist Hospital and Baylor St. Luke’s Medical Center in Houston. After caring for the most critically injured and ill patients for several years, Mrs. Manzanares decided to earn her Juris Doctorate from Thurgood Marshall School of Law so that she could use both her nursing education and legal education to assist patients who were seriously injured as a result of negligence in the medical field.

For nearly 10 years, Mrs. Manzanares has been practicing personal injury and medical malpractice at Abraham Watkins. In her capacity as both a nurse and lawyer, she reviews all of the firm’s potential medical malpractice cases and litigates personal injury and medical malpractice claims. In addition to practicing law, she also speaks on topics related to personal injury and medical malpractice at various continuing legal education courses throughout the year in the Houston area.
