Prepare For The Future, Save A Life

In 2012, distracted driving was responsible for 3,328 traffic accident deaths and 421,000 injuries nationwide. According to federal statistics, 11 percent of teens involved in fatal traffic accidents were distracted and cellphone use was a major source of driver distraction.

The Text Free Texas Scholarship Program is intended to help raise awareness of the dangers of distracted driving among Houston teens. Currently, a quarter of teens text every time that they drive, and 20 percent of teens carry on extensive text conversations behind the wheel.

At Abraham Watkins, our team of personal injury attorneys has seen firsthand the devastation that just one text can cause. Our Houston law firm encourages everyone to take a stand to stop the number of tragic crashes caused by cellphone use.

Take the pledge. Save a life. Save your own life. Help us make this a Text Free Texas. #TxtFreeTX
