Families of Warehouse Fire Victims File Suit

The parents of 20-year-old Michela Gregory and 23-year-old Griffin Madden filed suit against the owner and operators of a converted warehouse that caught fire on December 2, 2016. Ms. Gregory and Mr. Madden died, along with several others.

Continued Danger from Fires

Although we have virtually completed 2016, two more residential fires are in the news. One occurred last night in the Klein area. The blaze consumed the house. Thankfully, no people were reportedly injured, though a family's pets are missing. The second occurred about dawn today, and three individuals are deceased. Authorities are investigating to determine if foul play was involved in that incident.

Fire Burns Worker

Thursday night, a fire at a local scrap metal facility injured a worker and damaged property. The fire occurred between 10:30 p.m. and 11:00 p.m. at 9400 Rhonda. According to reports, the fire erupted when fuel tanks were being drained.

Victims File Suit Following Fatal Apartment Fire in San Antonio

Residents and their families sued Wedgwood Senior Living Apartments this week after a fire killed six residents and caused injuries to many others.

School Fire in Kitchen Serves as a Reminder

Students at Claughton Middle School in Spring Independent School District are likely enjoying an unexpected day off as their parents figure out what to do with them. Their school is closed today due to fire that occurred shortly after midnight last night. Evidently, an electrical fire at a food warming station was the root cause. At that hour of the night, no one was in the school, so no students or school employees were injured. Also, news accounts reported no injuries to fire fighters.

FIVE BURNED IN A POSSIBLE MOBILE METH LAB EXPLOSION

Last Wednesday night, on August 28, an explosion set a 2003 Ford Taurus on fire in Lake Worth, Texas, with five people inside. The occupants, four men and a woman, were on fire when they jumped out of the vehicle, and were treated at the Parkland Memorial Hospital in Dallas.
