Warehouse workers are an invaluable piece of the American workforce. Throughout the country, they ensure that products are properly stored, shipped, and packaged. There is however, a high price for this profession. According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, there is an average of 4.9-recorded nonfatal injuries per 100 warehouse workers each year. OSHA reports forklifts result in 100 deaths and over 95,000 injuries each year.

Onshore oilfields are among the most dangerous workplaces in America, and the Permian Basin of West Texas and southeastern New Mexico is no different. Last week, two oilfield workers were killed in the span of two days in Eddy County, New Mexico. Unfortunately, that was only the second-deadliest week for Eddy County oilfields this year-three were killed in the first week of May.
One worker was killed and another seriously hurt at a wrecker service in Amarillo on February 7 when a pickup truck fell from a forklift. The workers had been using the forklift to lift the truck while they worked on it.
