A bus carrying fourteen people returning from a church choir retreat was involved in a deadly head-on collision with a 2007 Dodge truck in South Texas last month. The crash killed 13 people after the truck unexpectedly veered into their lane of traffic. Witnesses to the crash confirmed the driver of the truck was texting and on medication at the time of the crash.
On Wednesday, a church van carrying fourteen members back from a spring retreat was involved in a head-on-collision. The collision resulted in thirteen fatalities. The accident occurred around 12:30 p.m. on U.S. 83 outside Garner State Park, about 75 miles west of San Antonio. Two of the victims were transported to University Hospital in San Antonio for treatment after the crash, however, one of those victims passed away late Wednesday night. One other victim was taken to San Antonio Military Medical Center.
