A lawsuit filed in Galveston claims that a League City daycare center's negligence resulted in the death of a three-month-old girl. Galveston County District Court records show that Jared and Lindsey McNeel allege that Kiddie Academy International, Inc.; Bullock's Bright Beginnings, L.L.C.; and Cory and Summer Bullock, individually and doing business as Kiddie Academy of League City, were responsible for the suffocation death of the McNeels' infant daughter, Skylar Mae McNeel.
Kathryn Brackett, age 85, died of hypothermia outside Crystal Springs on October 27, 2016. Crystal Springs is a part of Meridian Senior Living, LLC. The family filed suit.
On April 26, 2011, a Harris County jury hit Jubilee Financial Management, LLC, The Credit Card Solution (TCCS), Freedom from Debt Alliance, and Robert M. Lindsey with a $13.8 million verdict. The jury found that these defendants defrauded indebted Texans and failed to register with authorities in violation of state law. According to the State's enforcement action, the defendants assured customers that they could eliminate their credit card debts and restore credit ratings by filing lawsuits that would allow the defendants to erase their debts and reap thousands of dollars in court-awarded damages from debt collectors; this was false.
