(Houston, Texas) July 18 – Attorney Benny Agosto, Jr., a partner at Abraham, Watkins, Nichols, Agosto, Aziz & Stogner of Houston, Texas, was spotlighted in a feature article in the July/August edition of Hispanic Executive magazine.

From early on, Benny’s parents taught him that with hard work and determination anything was possible. The article highlights Benny’s accomplishments prior to entering the legal field – from playing Division I soccer in college, to teaching high school and college students after receiving a graduate degree in microbiology.

Since graduating from South Texas College of Law Houston, the article discusses Benny’s commitment to the Hispanic legal community. As the 2011-2012 President of the Hispanic National Bar Association (HNBA), he brings many important issues to attention nationally. He is also the founder of the Mexican American Bar Association of Texas Foundation (MABATx Foundation), and helped create the HBNA’s Legal Education Fund, which raises money to fund minority scholarships.

In addition to his efforts in the legal community promoting gender and minority fairness, Benny received a landmark result in a pro bono workers’ compensation case that essentially rewrote the law for police officers providing assistance to one another even when they are not on duty.
