Houston attorney and managing partner Randall O. Out of the nearly 97,000 attorneys in Texas, Mr. Sorrels is one of just 100 selected to this list. Mr. Sorrels is also named to the Top 100 Super Lawyers list for Houston, a distinction Mr. Sorrels has earned every year since 2006. Prior to earning a place on the Top 100 lists, Mr. Sorrels has earned a general listing as a Texas Super Lawyer since 2003, more than 13 years running. The Super Lawyers list appears annually in the Texas Monthly and Texas Super Lawyers magazines.
Inclusion on the Super Lawyers list is restricted to only the top five percent of Texas lawyers. Moreover, inclusion on the Top 100 list in Texas is even more competitive, representing the “best of the best” in the field.
Randy Sorrels: A Long & Storied Legal Career.
Just a brief glance at Mr. Sorrels’ profile is enough to show the difference he has made during his career both inside and outside of the courtroom. His alma mater, South Texas College of Law Houston (where he graduated magna cum laude in 1987), renamed its 15,000 sq. ft. legal clinic facilities the Randall O. Sorrels Legal Clinics. The soccer field at Houston Baptist University, the school at which Mr. Sorrels was recognized as an NCAA Academic All-American as an undergraduate (and where he also graduated magna cum laude), bears his name: Sorrels Field.
Mr. Sorrels joined Abraham, Watkins, Nichols, Agosto, Aziz & Stogner in 1990 and has practiced law here since then. As managing partner, Mr. Sorrels has seen to it that Abraham, Watkins, Nichols, Agosto, Aziz & Stogner increase its level of diversity, community involvement, and academic achievement among its associates and partners.
