Mo Aziz, a partner at the Houston personal injury law firm of Abraham, Watkins, Nichols, Agosto, Aziz & Stogner, has been named to the Texas Super Lawyers list for 2014. Only five percent of practicing attorneys in the state are named to Super Lawyers each year, and this year marks Mr. Aziz’s second year of inclusion on the list.
Mr. Aziz has been a partner at the firm since 2012 and was an associate attorney before then, beginning his work with the firm in 2006. He is board certified in Personal Injury Trial Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization. While practicing at Abraham Watkins, Mr. Aziz has been involved in securing settlements and verdicts in excess of $100 million.
He has served on several Plaintiff’s Steering Committees, including the Hurricane Evacuation Bus Fire and the Victoria Bus Litigation steering committees. Currently, he serves on the Plaintiff’s Executive Steering Committee in the West Fertilizer Plant Explosion that resulted in 15 fatalities, several hundred injuries, and several hundred millions in property damage. Appointments such as these reflect the appreciation and respect of clients and colleagues for Mr. Aziz and his legal work.
Since joining the firm, Mr. Aziz has handled a varied caseload involving plaintiffs and defendants related to the oil and gas industry, financial services companies, the automotive industry, and engineering and architectural firms. The results he has obtained, his work ethic, and his aggressive approach to case preparation have earned him honors and recognition in the following legal publications and associations:
