(Houston, Texas) – Attorney Randall O. Sorrels from the law firm of Abraham, Watkins, Nichols, Agosto, Aziz & Stogner has been selected as a 2016 member of the Nation’s Top One Percent by the National Association of Distinguished Counsel (NADC). This award recognizes attorneys who embody the highest standards of legal excellence, and this is Mr. Sorrels’ second consecutive year to receive this honor.
The NADC goes through a rigorous selection process in choosing attorneys. Fewer than 1 percent of all practicing attorneys in the United States are members of the Nation’s Top Attorneys. The attorneys chosen are part of an elite class of legal professionals from across the United States.
Mr. Sorrels has been recognized throughout his legal career. The State Bar of Texas has awarded him with some of the highest honors given by the bar. He received the President’s Award for his service to attorneys of Texas. He also received the Judge Sam Williams Award for his contributions to the State Bar of Texas. He received the President’s Award from the Houston Bar Association (HBA). Early in his career, he received the Woodrow B. Seals Outstanding Young Lawyer of Houston Award. He has been recognized by his alma maters, including the South Texas College of Law Houston, receiving the Dean’s Medal and Public Service Award, and Houston Baptist University, receiving the Distinguished Alumnus Award. Most recently he was named the Best Lawyers® 2016 Medical Malpractice Law – Plaintiffs “Lawyer of the Year” in Houston, which is an honor he also received in 2013.
