Attorney Michelle Rice(Houston, TX) Attorney Michelle Rice of the personal injury law firm of Abraham, Watkins, Nichols, Agosto, Aziz & Stogner has been recognized on the Texas Rising Stars list for 2020. This marks Michelle’s second consecutive year to be included on this annual list, which is published in the Texas Rising Stars issue of the Super Lawyers magazine and the Texas Monthly magazine.Attorneys named to the annual Rising Stars list go through the extensive Super Lawyers selection process and are selected based on nominations, independent research, and peer evaluation. To be eligible for inclusion, attorneys must be under the age of 40 or in practice for 10 years or less. No more than 2.5 percent of eligible attorneys are named to the Rising Stars list, which indicates that Michelle is among a prestigious list of top young lawyers in Texas.

Since joining Abraham Watkins as an associate in 2017, Michelle’s legal practice has focused on a wide range of personal injury matters, including wrongful death, automobile and trucking accidents, medical malpractice, products liability, premises liability, and workplace injury. She is currently involved in litigation pertaining to the mass shooting at the Route 91 Harvest Festival in Las Vegas, Nevada on October 1, 2017. She represents over 1,300 victims and family members of individuals who were killed during the shooting, and last year, she and a partner from Abraham Watkins brought about a historic $735 million – $800 million settlement on behalf of their clients. Additionally, in 2018, Michelle obtained a verdict in a products liability case that was ranked among the Top 10 Personal Injury Verdicts in Texas by TopVerdict.com as well as Texas’ Top Plaintiffs’ Verdicts by Verdict Search. Successfully litigating cases in both state and federal courts, Michelle is admitted to all federal district courts in Texas.

Michelle graduated cum laude from Syracuse University and attended South Texas College of Law Houston on a Dean’s Merit Scholarship. While in law school, she received three different CALI Awards for receiving the highest grade in Consumer Transactions, Evidence, and Family Law. Upon graduation, Michelle was an inductee of the Order of Lytae, an honor society at South Texas.
