(Houston, TX) Attorney Lena Laurenzo of the personal injury law firm of Abraham, Watkins, Nichols, Sorrels, Agosto, Aziz & Stogner has been recognized on the Texas Rising Stars list for 2021. This is Lena’s fifth consecutive year to be included on this annual list, which is published in the Texas Rising Stars issue of the Super Lawyers magazine and the Texas Monthly magazine.
Attorneys named to the Rising Stars list go through the same extensive selection process as Super Lawyers and are selected based on nominations, independent research by Super Lawyers, and peer evaluation by practice area. To be eligible for inclusion, attorneys must be under the age of 40 or in practice for 10 years or less. No more than 2.5 percent of eligible attorneys are named to the Rising Stars list, which indicates that Michelle is among a prestigious list of top young lawyers in Texas.
Lena has been an associate at Abraham Watkins since 2019, after several years of practicing personal injury and maritime law at another firm in Houston. Her legal practice continues to cover a wide variety of personal injury matters, including private and commercial automobile accidents, pedestrian accidents, Jones Act and maritime cases, workplace injury, and wrongful death.
Lena graduated cum laude from Texas Tech University and attended law school at South Texas College of Law Houston, where she was a member of South Texas’ nationally ranked trial advocacy program. Upon graduation, she was an inductee of the Order of Barristers, a national trial advocacy honorary organization. She remains active at South Texas and has served as an Advocacy Coach for the school since 2015. Lena also served as an advocacy professor with the University of Houston Law Center for Trial Advocacy and Depositions throughout the 2020 year.
Lena is a member of the Houston Trial Lawyers Association, Houston Young Lawyers Association, Houston Bar Association, Texas Trial Lawyers Association, and Executive and Professional Association of Houston.
