(Houston, TX) Attorney Angelina Wike of the personal injury law firm of Abraham, Watkins, Nichols, Agosto, Aziz & Stogner has been recognized on the Texas Rising Stars list for 2020. This marks Angelina’s first year to be included on this annual list, which is published in the Texas Rising Stars issue of the Super Lawyers magazine and the Texas Monthly magazine.
Attorneys named to the annual Rising Stars list go through the extensive Super Lawyers selection process and are selected based on nominations, independent research, and peer evaluation. To be eligible for inclusion, attorneys must be under the age of 40 or in practice for 10 years or less. No more than 2.5 percent of eligible attorneys are named to the Rising Stars list, which indicates that Angelina is among a prestigious list of top young lawyers in Texas.
Angelina has been practicing law in Texas since 2016. Her current legal practice at Abraham Watkins focuses on a wide variety of personal injury matters, including automobile and trucking collisions, premises liability incidents, dram shop litigation, and products liability cases. Angelina’s practice further includes representation of first party policy holders in disputes against their insurance companies for underpayment or wrongful denial of claims. Active in the legal community, Angelina is currently serving as a member of the Houston Bar Association’s Continuing Legal Education Committee. She is also an active alum of South Texas College of Law Houston, where she volunteers to guest judge moot court rounds and serves as a member of the school’s Young Alumni Counsel’s Student Engagement Committee.
Angelina graduated with Honors from University of Houston-Clear Lake, where she was a member of Alpha Phi Sigma, a Criminal Justice Honor Society. While attending law school at South Texas College of Law Houston, Angelina was a varsity member of the school’s nationally acclaimed Trial Advocacy Program, represented South Texas in national moot court competitions, and won multiple awards, including two best Overall Advocate Awards in nationally held competitions. She also received the Dean’s Outstanding Advocate Award and was inducted into the Order of the Barristers National Advocacy Honor Society.
