(Houston, TX) The ninth Battle Buddy 57, a fundraising event benefiting the Olivia Grace Stevens Endowment Fund for Neonatology at Texas Children’s Hospital, took place on Saturday, October 17. The event, which was held at Bayou City CrossFit in Houston, was sponsored for Battle Buddy 57 2015the third year in a row by the Houston personal injury law firm of Abraham, Watkins, Nichols, Agosto, Aziz & Stogner, the event’s Title Sponsor. Battle Buddy 57 raised over $3,000 this year.

During the event, teams of two completed 57 repetitions of the Workout of the Day, named “Olivia” in honor of a Houston child who spent the first 57 days of her life in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at Texas Children’s Hospital (TCH). Six years ago, Olivia Stevens was born with a rare chromosomal disorder that left her fighting for life from the moment she was born. The foundation in her name was created to provide financial support for research and training in the care and treatment of premature and critically ill babies. The proceeds of all Battle Buddy 57 events support the foundation, established by Olivia’s parents, Leslie and Chad Stevens.

Over 200 people participated in this year’s event. Two-person teams completed workout cycles that included box jumps, push press, sit ups, lunges, push-ups, kettlebell swings, squats, and burpees.
