Workplace Injury at Igloo Manufacturing Center

Waller County Sheriff’s Department responded to an incident that occurred at the Igloo manufacturing plant on June 21, 2022. The department claims that an employee was severely injured when an unidentified piece of equipment fell on them. While many details are unknown at this time, the injuries suffered by the employee were serious enough to require life flight to Memorial Herman Hospital.

Workplace injuries like this are all too common, particularly in the Houston area where manufacturing centers, and oil and gas refineries prioritize profits over employee safety. Incidents like the one that occurred at the Igloo Manufacturing Center are preventable. Employees, and the families of employees, should know that the Employers and all parties involved in the manufacturing process have a duty under the law to protect their employees from potential harm. When Employers and other Third Parties breach or fail to meet this duty, they can be held liable for the damages that are incurred as a result of their negligence.
