On March 26, 2024, following a power loss, a 984-foot cargo ship collided with the Francis Scott Key Bridge, leading to its collapse into the Patapsco River in Baltimore, Maryland. While the bodies of two construction workers were rescued from a submerged truck, four individuals remain missing and are presumed deceased.
