RECALLED ROCK ‘N PLAY SLEEPERS MAY LEAD TO INFANT DEATHS

Fisher-Price re-announced a recall of 4.7 million Rock ‘n Play Sleepers on January 9, 2023. The original recall was announced on April 12, 2019. According to the United States Consumer Product Safety Commission, using a recalled Rock ‘n Play Sleepers could lead to infant fatality. At the time the original recall was announced, 30 recorded fatalities had occurred when the infants rolled from their back to their stomach or side while unrestrained, or under other circumstances. Since the original recall, another approximately 70 additional fatalities have been reported. Approximately 100 deaths have reportedly occurred while infants were in the recalled products.

The recalled units involved every and all Rock ‘n Play Sleepers sold at major stores nationwide including Walmart, Target, and Amazon from September 2009 through April 2019 for between $40 and $149. Consumers are being told to stop using the Rock ‘n Play Sleepers immediately and contact Fisher-Price for a refund or voucher. It is also worth mentioning that the sale or distribution of these recalled sleepers is illegal.
