Crash involving Two 18-Wheelers resulted in Death of one of the Drivers

Authorities investigated a fatal crash on I-45 in Leon County, Texas, that left the driver of the Freightliner dead.

According to the Texas Department of Public Safety Troopers investigated a fatal crash involving two 18-wheelers near Centerville, Leon County, Texas on October 17, 2022. The crash occurred on I-45 about two miles north of Centerville, Texas on Monday afternoon.

The DPS stated that a 2020 Kenworth 18-wheeler was traveling northbound and stopped for road construction ahead. A 2019 Freightliner was also traveling northbound and hit the Kenworth’s trailer. The driver of the Freightliner, Billy Faison, 72 years old, from Fort Worth, Texas was killed. The driver of the Kenworth was identified by the DPS, James Dalberg, 49 years old from Illinois, and was transported to Freestone Medical Clinic for treating his injuries.
