Family of Girl Brain Damaged by Dentist Awarded $95,000,000.00

After a trial that lasted several days, a Harris County jury awarded the family of Nevaeh Hall $95,000,000.00. The jury found former dentist, Bethaniel Jefferson, to be negligent in her treatment of Nevaeh. Neveah’s family testified that she suffered drug-induced seizures and oxygen at the Diamond Dental Practice in January 2016. Neveah, now conscious, requires 24-hour medical care, as she can no longer see, speak, walk, or eat on her own.

Bethaniel Jefferson is no longer practicing as a dentist. Her medical license was revoked in 2017. Further, she was indicted by a Harris County grand jury on charges of intentionally and knowingly, by omission, causing serious bodily injury to a child by failing to seek and provide adequate medical attention.

Neveah’s family alleges this terrible incident occurred as a result of the epidemic of overtreating children at corporate Medicaid clinics managed to maximize profits.
