Polaris Recalls RZR Recreational Off-Road Vehicles Due to Fire Hazard

A popular brand for off-road vehicles (ROVs), Polaris, has recalled close to 2,000 units of the 2021 RZR Pro XP and RZR Pro XP 4 Recreational Off-Road Vehicles after determining the models contain a defective design flaw. The defective design flaw lies in the raised edge on the machined surface of the turbocharger castings, this raised edge can result in an oil leak, posing a fire hazard. The fire hazard is the largest risk and the reason for the recall.

While some of the vehicles were previously recalled in May, more are being recalled now after continued reports of incidents and injury involving the model. The suggested remedy to the defective issue is a repair to part number 3023738. It is important all consumers of the Off-road vehicle are made aware of the necessary repair in order to keep themselves from suffering the same burn injuries suffered by other consumers.
