Another Massive Recall on Infant Incline Sleepers

In 2019, a mother of an 11-month old baby girl found her little one lifeless in her inclined sleeper bed. The baby girl had rolled in the sleeper and was unable to breath, causing a lack of oxygen in her body and brain.

After this, and 60 other similar deaths across the U.S., Fisher Price recalled its "Rock and Play Sleeper" last year. A study discovered that these deaths were a result of a design defect in the infant inclined sleeper bed.

This year, the federal Consumer Product Safety Commission has recalled more than 165,000 infant incline sleepers from four different manufacturers. These products include:

· Summer Infant's SwaddleMe By Your Bed Sleeper, Model number 91394

· Graco Little Lounger Rocking Seat, Model numbers; 1872034, 1875063, 1875102, 1877160, 1882081, 1896313, 1908957, 1914283, 2047734 and 1922809

· Delta Enterprise Corp. Deluxe Incline Sleeper, Model numbers; 27404-2255, 27404-437, 27404-758, and 27404-942

· Evenflo Pillo Portable Napper, Model number 12132125

All of these infant sleepers are reported to have similar design defects as was found with Fisher-Price's Rock 'n Play Sleepers. Infants often roll over on their side or stomach while on these inclined sleepers. Due to the design of these products the infants are then unable to breath, causing them to suffocate.

Most consumers believe that if a product is on the market, it would be safe for their child. Sadly, that is not the case.
