Worker Killed in Pearland Industrial Accident

Firm Partner Benny Agosto, Jr. will be investigating a recent incident involving a worker who was killed in an industrial accident at Houston Tubulars, Inc. on 13600 Hatfield Road in Pearland, Texas. The site is just west of Mykawa Road and north of Broadway. According to a listing for the National Association of Steel Pipes Distributors, Houston Tubulars is a pipe reconditioning company.

The incident occurred at about 9:20 a.m. on Friday June 8, 2018, according to Pearland Police spokesman James Wells. The worker was moving a large pipe in the yard with another person, when a wood bracket supporting the pipe broke. The worker was crushed to death. An inspection of the scene and equipment will take place on Monday, June 18, 2018.
