Woman causes 2 car accidents in Houston

A car accident can happen at any time, regardless of the time of day, number of cars on the road, or how fast the vehicles are traveling. Recently, a 26-year-old woman caused two car accidents on the south side of Houston. As a result of the accident, one man was injured and a woman was killed.

According to police, she drove her truck into a car at approximately 9 p.m. After stopping to exchange information, she decided against doing so and took off in her vehicle. While making an escape attempt, the woman ran through a red light, colliding with another vehicle. In this accident, a 47-year-old woman was killed and a 48-year-old man was injured.

The woman's brother was devastated by the news, saying, "She [suspect] hurt every single person in our family. She destroyed a person we loved and cared a lot about. Ingrid was our life, that was my oldest sister. We were close and you took her life from us."

The hospital at which the woman was treated is testing her blood to determine if she was drinking at the time of the car accident. If this is the case, she may face intoxication manslaughter charges.

Even if it is found that the woman was not drinking and driving, it does not change the fact that she was driving in a negligent manner. This story shows how important it is to obey the rules of the road, as any mistake could lead to serious injury or even death, such as was the case in this accident.
