Tank Battery Explosion Injures Two

According to the Associated Press, two men were injured in an explosion at an oil well site southeast of Grenora at about midday Friday. The tank battery explosion left one man burned and the other with a broken leg, though further information on their conditions was not released Friday night, according to the Associated Press.

Both young men, were transported to Mercy Medical Center. Capt. Steve Kerzmann of the Williston Fire Department said Saturday morning. Kerzmann could not confirm which man sustained each injury, but said the calls came in at 12:46 p.m. and 1:17 p.m. Friday.

The Grenora Fire Department, Williston Ambulance and Williams County Sheriff’s Office responded to the call, Busching said. The sheriff’s office referred further questions about the incident to Monday during business hours.
