Harvard Law School in conjunction with the Harvard Kennedy School of Government, and Harvard Business School recently hosted the 15th Annual Harvard Latino Law, Policy and Business Conference. The annual conference gathers Latino leaders from the private, public and non-profit sectors to discuss important issues in the Latino community. Hispanic National Bar Association (HNBA) President Benny Agosto, Jr. was invited to be part of a panel discussing "Latinos in the Legal Profession."

The panel featured Carmen Ortiz, the first Latina U.S. Attorney to represent the District of Massachusetts, Einer R. Elhauge, the first Latino Harvard Law School professor, and Juanita Hernandez, Senior Counsel for the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission.

"I was honored to be invited as a speaker to the Harvard Latino Conference, and extremely proud to represent the HNBA as its President," said Agosto. "As the national voice of the Hispanic legal community, we have the privilege and responsibility to educate and motivate young Latinas and Latinos as they face the challenges in pursuit of their goals."

This year's conference theme was The Rising Latino: Latinos in the United States, and Latin America on the World Stage. Mr. Agosto added "I congratulate the organizers of this event on a successful and rewarding conference, and look forward to the HNBA's continuing involvement in other important initiatives to foster the future of our profession and our community."
