Fisher-Price Little People Builders' Load 'n Go Recalled

On July 28, The Consumer Product Safety Commission ("CPSC") issued a recall for Fisher-Price's Little People Builders' Load 'n Go. The toys, bearing product number P8977, were sold between June 2009 and July 2011 for approximately $25.00.

The Little People Builders' Load 'n Go is a wagon designed for young children and is equipped with a long handle for hauling building blocks around the playroom. Unfortunately for the 208,000 children in the United States, and the 2,800 children in Canada who purchased the wagon, the handle contains a dangerous defect. The back of the wagon's plastic handle has molded-in reinforcement which facilitates gripping for children pulling the wagon. But if a child falls while pulling the wagon, the handle poses a laceration hazard. The CPSC and Fisher-Price are aware of seven reports of injuries, including five reports of children requiring surgical glue or stiches.

Consumers should cease using the wagon immediately unless otherwise instructed and contact either CPSC or Fisher-Price.
