The State Bar of Texas Annual Meeting takes place this week, Thursday, June 23 through Friday, June 24 in San Antonio, Texas. Our bar association consists of over 80,000 licensed attorneys, and the annual meeting is an excellent place to obtain quality continuing legal education and develop a greater understanding of what our organized bar does for the community of lawyers and the people of the state of Texas. Further, our newest partner, [email protected], will be sworn in as a new Board of Director for the State Bar of Texas.
Highlighting this year’s program is Medal of Honor recipient and former Navy SEAL Mike Thornton, Pulitzer Prize finalist H.W. Brands, and Pulitzer Prize and National Book Award winner, Edmund Morris. Current President Terry Tottenham will be passing the gavel to in-coming president, Bob Black. Also, the Texas Bar Foundation dinner will be held on Friday night, where I sit as a trustee of the TBF.
