Motor Coach Industries, Inc., (MCI) based out of Illinois has been engaged in several high profile cases in Texas. MCI is a bus manufacturer has been sued for manufacturing, design and marketing defects in several lawsuits, including the Hurricane Rita Evacuation Bus Fire case. On September 18, 2008 MCI and its affiliates filed for bankruptcy that effectually stayed several lawsuits pending in the Texas courts.
