Battle Buddy 57 Raises $12,000 for Texas Children's Hospital

Abraham Watkins is the proud Title Sponsor of Battle Buddy 57, a fundraising effort benefitting Texas Children's Hospital.

(Houston, TX) The eighth Battle Buddy 57, a fundraising event benefiting the Olivia Grace Stevens Endowment Fund for Neonatology at Texas Children's Hospital, took place on Saturday, December 13 in downtown Houston. The event, which was held at CrossFit Roughnecks, was sponsored for the second year in a row by Title Sponsor and the personal injury law firm of Abraham, Watkins, Nichols, Sorrels, Agosto & Aziz. Battle Buddy 57 raised over $12,000 this year.

Each team of two completed 57 repetitions of a Workout of the Day. The workout was named "Olivia" to honor a Houston child who spent the first 57days of her life in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at Texas Children's Hospital (TCH). The proceeds of the fundraiser will support research, education, and training at the Newborn Center at TCH.

Olivia Stevens was born with a rare chromosomal deletion that left her fighting for life from the moment she was born. The foundation in her name was created to provide financial support for research and training in caring for premature and critically-ill babies at the hospital.
