Harris County Sheriff Responds to Charges from DOJ

Randy Sorrels VideoAdrian Garcia served up a vigorous defense against claims made in jail investigation by the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ). The DOJ's investigation that came out in June gave the jail a failing grade. The report stated conditions had violated inmate's constitutional rights.

Randy Sorrels, the attorney for the family of Margarita Saavedra, a 44-year-old diabetic, who died in the jail's medical clinic, referencing the case claimed "had she received timely medical care for a very treatable condition she would be alive today."
